Food & FMCG Cargo to Saudi Arabia

Get a Free Quote

Sending packaged food, groceries, drinks, or everyday consumer goods into Saudi Arabia is different from moving ordinary cargo. The rules are stricter, the paperwork is checked line by line, and a small labeling mistake can hold your whole shipment at the port. Shipsolve Transport & Courier Pvt. Ltd. moves food and FMCG from Bangladesh and China into Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam every week, and we prepare each load so it clears rather than sits.

Getting past Saudi food rules

Food entering Saudi Arabia has to satisfy the SFDA (Saudi Food and Drug Authority). Before your goods travel, the product and its factory usually need to be registered or approved, and many items require a valid halal certificate. Labels matter just as much as the food inside.

  • Arabic labeling — product name, ingredients, and net weight in Arabic, not only English.
  • Production and expiry dates — printed clearly on every unit, matching the documents.
  • Ingredient and allergen list — complete and truthful, since inspectors do check.
  • Halal proof — where the item type requires it, with the certificate ready at customs.

We review these before departure, so problems are caught in the warehouse, not at Jeddah or Dammam customs where a rejection can cost you the entire consignment.

Shelf life decides air or sea

With food, transit time is part of the product. Short-life goods, chilled items, and anything close to its date are better by air freight, which lands in days. Canned, dry, and long-life FMCG travel well by sea freight in LCL or full FCL containers, which keeps the cost per carton low. Some products need steady cold, so we book reefer (temperature-controlled) containers and keep the chain unbroken from loading to delivery.

Sourcing and support

Our teams in Guangzhou, Yiwu, and Shenzhen can help source FMCG lines in China, while our Bangladesh office handles export from Dhaka and Chittagong. As a licensed C&F customs agent with our own staff in Saudi Arabia, we handle clearance in-house, answer in Arabic or English, and send updates on WhatsApp.

Tell us what you are shipping and we will send a free quote, usually within a few hours, with no hidden fees.
